History of FC33 Soccer Club
FC33 is a result of the combination of the Travel Soccer Programs from Barbour County Soccer, Mid State Soccer, and Seneca Soccer All three clubs can boast of successful pasts and by combining have created one of the premier travel clubs in West Virginia. Our program also benefits from the feeder recreational programs of Upshur County Youth Soccer, Barbour County Youth Soccer, and Seneca Soccer. FC33 is a recognized non-profit organization by the state of West Virginia.
“STRONG ALONE BUT UNSTOPPABLE TOGETHER”
FC33’s Mission & Objectives
Our goal is to provide boys and girls from age 8-18 with high-quality instructional and competitive soccer opportunities. To create an environment where character is developed, technical skill is cultivated, winning is sought, and teamwork is achieved.
We will strive towards player development, with the belief that all players need to be constantly challenged to improve, whether that be within our club, or thru club promotion to development academies/programs and greater competition.
We also understand the important role that parents play in a club. We strive to be the club that is consumer friendly, honest, and enjoyable to participate with.
Rostering in FC33
FC33 works off the “player pool” system. Players accepted into the program are given a training spot for the season. Coaches determine rosters for all events (friendlies, tournaments, etc). If the pool size of the specific age group warrants multiple teams entered into events, then that option can be utilized. As a competitive club, we feel it critical to teach players the importance of working hard and earning a spot on a match roster. Players are not guaranteed any set amount of roster spots. They will be guaranteed the opportunity to make multiple rosters throughout the year. Soccer is competitive, and we want the process of earning spots to be competitive.
The younger U10 age groups will take on more traditional schedules and playing opportunities. Our younger development academy will be geared towards their growth into the competitive arena.
